The cinema is not only a tool of entertainment, but it is also a revolution against any cause that may have terribly turned the life’s prosperity into inconvenience. Thus, it is a message for love, peace, freedom, humanity, rights and justice.
Eratoo’ Human Rights Film Festival has become a cornerstone in Libyan cultural scene. And as it has been hailed and appreciated by artists around the world.
Additionally, the festival, being held and organized annually in city of Tripoli, it is not only meant for distinguishably marking the city, but it also reflects the cultural and arts diversity around Libya.
It is an inevitable that Eratoo Human Rights Film Festival opens a great opportunity to the cinema makers and producers to introduce subjects and storyboards based on the human rights reality through their cinema.
The main aim we seek through organizing such an event is to activate cultural and cinema scene, besides developing and encouraging means and tools of creative expression through modern visual and audio media in Libya, in particular, for supporting the cinema made by new youth generation, with keeping our eyes widely opened on all the youth cinema producers, actors \ actresses, camera crews and other concerned staff and to list their cinema works on the festival’s program, so we ensure the participation of more cinema works that are related to social and human issues.
It is inevitable that the success we have been making so far are achieved by efforts exerted by those who are responsible on organizational, security and funding issues, besides the festival’ sponsors; be they local or international.
We are looking for welcoming you every year to Erato’s Human Rights Film Festival, ensuring to organize promising film festival on human rights that will lighten the sky of Tripoli with colorful joys.
